Sakanaction vocalist Yamaguchi Ichiro to go on hiatus due to poor physical condition, national tour has been postponed

Sakanaction vocalist Yamaguchi Ichiro (41) will be taking a rest due to poor physical condition.

The news was posted on the band’s official website on July 1st and that the Sakanaction national tour in July will be postponed.

According to Yamaguchi’s website, Yamaguchi has been suffering from extreme fatigue since May and in late June, he was diagnosed by his doctor that he must take a rest. So, for the month of July, Yamaguchi plans to rest and future activities will be based on the recovery of Yamaguchi’s physical condition.

On Yamaguchi’s official website, the following was posted in regarding to postpone the national tour, “Although I have been suffering from extreme fatigue and fatigue since May, I continued my activities as a musician. It was my decision of willing to continue and have consulted with band members, staff, and counselors of the office contracts we belong to, and have taken measures. However, in late June, I received a diagnosis from a doctor that I needed rest. In order to continue the expression activities in a healthy manner, we decided that due to the timing and the needed rest was the highest priority, we came to this conclusion.
