Johnny & Associates cancels King & Prince concert in Hokkaido after stage equipment caught fire

A concert for King & Prince was abruptly canceled after an accident occurred and equipment on stage caught fire.

Johnny & Associates released an apology and report on their official website in regards to the popular group’s concert being held at the Hokkaido Prefectural Sports Center on the 6th.

Regarding the performance on the 7th, they will discuss with relevant parties and decide whether or not to hold the performance.

The group was performing on concert which started at 1:00 p.m. on August 6th and an accident occurred in which the stage caught fire. The concert was canceled including the 6:00 p.m. concert set for August 6th.

The company wrote, “Our company takes this accident seriously, and we will work to ensure safety in the future by reviewing safety confirmation and systems not only at the location that caused the accident, but also at various locations. We will aim for this”.
