Marc Panther wants to see globe reunite

“It’s always been my role as a banquet manager, standing between two people,” laughs Marc Panther, 52. Of course, “two people” refers to Komuro Tetsuya (63) and KEIKO (50) (the former married couple).

The legendary unit “globe” representing the Komuro family in the 1990s. Many fans have hoped for a resumption of activities, but in 2011 KEIKO developed a subarachnoid hemorrhage. Since entering the recuperation life, the activities of all three have never been realized.

It seems that Marc is still maintaining a good relationship with the two, such as uploading recent photos of Komuro and two-shots with KEIKO on SNS.

Globe will release a memorial box “10000 DAYS” on December 24th to commemorate the 10,000th day of their debut. Furthermore, four years after her retirement press conference, Komuro has joined the unit “TM NETWORK” to return to the music scene. He just finished touring in September 2022.

The publication FLASH recently interviewed Marc Panther.

Q: You posted a photo of you with KEIKO in July, but what is her current status?

Panther said “She is fine. She promised to play golf soon”.

Q: In 2018, you toured around 47 prefectures with the tour “GLOBE-GENERATION ~Tomoshibi wa Ketsunai~” where you performed globe’s songs as a DJ. But what did they think?

Panther said, “Mr. Komuro (globe) told me not to turn off the lights. We put a big screen behind the stage and KEIKO was projected on the screen. That’s how I toured all 47 prefectures.Also, globe had never performed at a live house, but KEIKO always wanted to play at a small live house, so instead, I performed live all over the country. I went around houses.”

Q: What do you think of Komuro-san’s globe?

Panther said, “The release of this box set was approved by Komuro-san. It’s no good if Mr. Komuro says he doesn’t like it. But it’s the year of the Osaka Expo. Expo = the world, and “globe”, which means the earth, fits perfectly.It’s a year where many new things will appear, so Komuro-sane will probably come up with various ideas”.

Q: It would be great if the globe could reunite there.
Panther replied, “I’m the one who has the most expectations (laughs). I’m sure I’ll do it!”
