Yanada Kiyoyuki, seiyuu of SLAM DUNK’s Akagi Takenori and BLEACH’s Tsukabishi Tessai/Baigon has passed away

Voice actor Yanada Kiyoyuki has passed away.

A seiyuu best known for his voice work for SLAM DUNK’s Akagi Takenori, “Magical Knight Rayearth” character Geo Metro, “Macross 7” character Barton, “Sorcerer Hunters” character Gateau, “Bubblegum Crisis Tokyo 2040” character Leon McNichol, “Transformer: Armada” Megatron and BLEACH’s Tsukabishi Tessai/Baigon and many more character roles.

Fellow Seiyuu Madono Mitsuaki, who was friends with Yanada, posted on Twitter, “My friend Yanada Kiyoyuki has passed away”. He continued, “Since he was a freelancer, I would like to report to the voice acting industry and his fans on behalf of his wife. I still can’t believe it, but I pray from the bottom of my heart that Yanada-kun rests in peace”.
