HKT48 veteran and first gen member Motomura Aoi, who is the Team KIV Captain of HKT48 announced that she will be graduating.
The announcement was made on the first day of “HKT48 11th Anniversary LIVE 2022” on November 26th.
On the HKT48 website, the statement reads, “Regarding Motomura Aoi’s graduation announcement, we have respected her intentions and had repeated discussions, but she will end her activities in HKT48 around the summer of 2023. We deeply apologize to all the fans for the sudden announcement. Details such as the official end date of activities will be announced as soon as they are decided”.
Motomura was the last first gen member of HKT48 still active with the group and with her graduation, there will no longer be any first gen members as part of the group.
Original HKT48 first gen member Nakanishi Chiori, is now active as a member of AKB48.
