Actress Asakura Yui (26), who played the role of Natsuki Hana / Kamen Rider Aguilera in “Kamen Rider Revise”, announced on the 30th that she would change her name to Kabashima Hikari and belong to Across Entertainment.

Kabashima, who opened a new Instagram account, reported, “My name is Kabashima Hikari. This time, I will be affiliated with Across Entertainment as an actress.”

“I will continue to work hard in my acting career so that I can deliver wonderful works to everyone. Thank you for your continued support.”

For those who are outside of Japan, it is common for Japanese talent who received a stage name from a previous agency (ie. agency owning the rights to that original stage name) having to use another stage name when joining another agency (especially if the decision to move to another agency was not amicable).  This may be the case for Kabashima.
