On November 18, a Pokemon card specialty store in Akihabara, Tokyo was robbed. The shop had just opened on the 12th of November.

According to security camera footage inside the store, the thief broke the glass of the display case where the cards were lined up before breaking open the shutter to enter the store before dawn, and then went outside.

About 30 minutes later, several people wearing hoods and masks entered the store again with flashlights in their hands and destroyed the display shelves along the wall with crowbars. It is said that they took away most of the cards.

In addition, although the safe where high-value cards were stored escaped damage, it is said that the footage shows that the safe was carried and was about to be destroyed.

The store manager explained that the amount of damage caused by the card alone was about 25 million yen . The store resumed operations on December 24th.

It is said that it costs more than 5 million yen to renew the showcase, and funds are being collected through crowdfunding.
