BANDAI SPIRITS warns against counterfeits of “Gunpla” including parts and labels

BANDAI SPIRITS reports that it has confirmed that counterfeit products of the “Mobile Suit Gundam” series plastic models, commonly known as “Gunpla”, are being sold.

BANDAI and BANDAI SPIRITS are authorized to produce and sell GUNDAM models under an official licensing agreement with SUNRISE. However, in recent years, it has come to the company’s attention that counterfeit GUNDAM plastic models are being mass produced and sold in many countries, including China.

There are counterfeiters now selling decals and parts.  The quality of these counterfeit products is not guaranteed, and there are cases where illegality such as copyright infringement is suspected without permission from the copyright holder, and there is concern that purchasers may suffer problems from these illegal counterfeit products.

BANDAI SPIRITS cannot take any responsibility for products other than the company’s products, and it is not possible to respond to defective exchanges.
