Nakai Masahiro has been appointed as WBC supporter

Nakai Masahiro (50) has been appointed as WBC “authorized supporter” for the Japanese national team SAMURAI JAPAN at the World Baseball Classic tournament “5th World Baseball Classic (WBC)”.

“Nakai-san’s appointment as a supporter has been decided. He will serve as an interviewer for the Samurai Japan members and a ground-level report for the match,” said a TV Asahi source.

Officals from both TBS and TV Asahi are said to be preparing an emergency “Plan B”, considering Nakai has just returned from hiatus due to health issues.

Nakai, who loves baseball, was in charge of “Samurai Japan Official Supporter” in the 3rd tournament (2013) and “Samurai Japan Official Support Captain” in the 4th tournament (2017). Regarding the 5th round, it was reported on the 23rd that adjustments were being made with the appointment of an “authorized supporter”.
