Natsupoi (27), the very popular “fairy” of women’s professional wrestling “Stardom” is among the most-talked about female wrestlers right now. But is she aiming to for current champ, Julia’s red belt (World Championship)?

In an interview with Tokyo Sports, Natsupoi said, “Honestly, I’m not interested in the red belt (World Championship). But I’m going to surpass Julia anyway, so I might be lucky if I get one.”

Natsupoi surprised everyone when she betrayed her group “Donna del Mondo”, led by Julia, to join the “Cosmic Angels”. This was rated the #1 wrestling moment of Stardom of 2022 for their Happy New Year 2023 countdown:

This would lead to a battle between Natsupoi vs. Julia in the Takadanobaba Tournament on January 21st. While there was no winner of their their battle, Natsupoi showed her respect to her former leader.

“I dared to unleash the same technique as that time, with the feeling that I was going to show off my current power”, Natsupoi said.

She left “Donna del Mondo” led by Julia at the Tachikawa tournament last July and joined “Cosmic Angels”.

As if to recreate the moment she betrayed Julia, she used a thrust kick and German suplex.

As if she understood her feelings, Julia gave her a headbutt so strong that it left a bruise on her face. “Julia’s head butt is a specialty, and I was happy because I had the image of receiving it in an important match or an opponent. I had never received it before, and I felt that it was very meaningful for her to give it to me”.

When Natsupoi hugged her after the match, she gently stroked his head and the venue was cheering. It was a moment when their relationship took a step forward.

Natsupoi said, “Julia-chan created a home that accepted me just after entering stardom, and I respect her words and way of life. I still love her. But going forward, I have to surpass Julia’s strength”.

Natsupoi will be participating in a “Naniwa Roulette” Single Round Tournament which will feature 15 wrestlers at the Edion Arena Osaka 1st Stadium Tournament on February 4th. Whoever wins will get the right to challenge for a favorite title.

As for now, Julia will be taking on Suzuki Suzu in a V1 match at the Osaka tournament.
