Suzuki Ayane (23) of Nogizaka46 updated her official blog on the 18th and announced that she would graduate from the group on March 28th, the 10th anniversary of joining.

She plans to hold her graduation ceremony on the same day.

Suzuki joined in March 2013 and is the last active member of the 2nd generation. 1st generation captain Akimoto Manatsu (29) is also scheduled to graduate on the 26th of this month, and all the 1st and 2nd generations who have supported the group for many years will leave Nogizaka46.

Suzuki wrote, “Today, I wrote a blog because I wanted to tell you something. I’m sorry if I surprised you. I am graduating. I’ve had the idea of graduating in the back of my head for a long time, but I was sad to say goodbye to my beloved Nogizaka46, so I pretended not to see it. I don’t think I could have realized that living in relationships with other people is such a happy thing until I joined Nogizaka46 and met everyone. I am so weak that I need to be someone because I felt lonely, so I must decide to move forward while I still have the strength to live in the future. I decided to graduate. We are planning to hold a graduation ceremony on March 28. I am excited and nervous while discussing with the staff what I can do and what I can do to make them happy. I know you’re busy, but I’d be happy if you could come see me one last time. Finally, thank you to all the members that I love, the staff who have supported me, and everyone who has supported me. I will do my best so that I can return the favor. Until now and from now on, I love Nogizaka46”.
