Kuroda Junnosuke (34), a member of the rock band sumika has passed away.
The band’s management office announced on the band’s website, “Sumika’s guitar / chorus Kuroda Junnosuke passed away on February 23rd. He was 34 years old. I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to Junnosuke Kuroda for his kindness during his lifetime, and I would like to sincerely pray for the repose of his soul”.
Kuroda had updated his Twitter the day before announcing video work he had done.
sumika was formed back in May 2013, their song “Honne” was selected as the Cheering song for the 99th National High School Soccer Tournament. The band was planning a 10th anniversary live at Yokohama Stadium in May.
