Japan-A-Radio has been a fixture for those wanting to listen to Japanese music via online streaming.
The radio station has been around for 22 years and issued the following statement on July 1st:
It’s a sad day as Japan-A-Radio announces that it will cease operations.
This has been a really difficult decision that has been floating around for some time. The costs to continue running Japan-A-Radio are quite high and continue to rise, while subscribers for Japan-A-Radio remain too low. In a competitive market, we understand everyone has choices when they listen to their media and appreciate those of you who have spent their last 22 years with us.
Japan-A-Radio will officially cease operations on Saturday, July 29th at 23:59PM. Thank you for the opportunity to let us entertain you.
Note: If you have any reoccurring subscriptions, they will automatically be cancelled. You don’t need to do anything, but please watch your e-mail from PayPal about your subscription being cancelled. We are unable to offer any refunds as the funds were used to keep the station going.
