Juice=Juice leader Uemura Akari will graduate from group & H!P next spring

Hello! Project’s Uemura Akari (24), the leader of the idol group Juice = Juice, announced on the 16th that she will be graduating from the group and Hello! Project next spring.

Uemura explained, “I have an announcement for everyone. I, Uemura Akari, will graduate from Juice=Juice and Hello! Project after the spring tour in 2024. Juice=Juice was formed in February 2013, and thanks to all of you, we were able to celebrate our 10th anniversary this year. When we first formed, as the youngest member of the group, we were able to share many dreams side by side with our unique contemporaries. And the moment we fulfilled each one, the Juice=Juice family was always by our side, and we were able to aim even higher. Thank you very much!”.

Uemura continued, “Reliable junior members have joined the group, and the range and options as a group increased, so I began to think positively about my graduation. I have reached the decision that I want to move on to a new path. During the corona disaster, and while feeling the importance of the moment when I could meet everyone, I think that I was able to carefully spend each opportunity after solidifying my determination, I have experienced many things over the past 10 years, but I would like to conclude by expressing my deepest gratitude to all Juice=Juice. I will run through the precious time I have left with my family until the end. As an original member, I will do my best to connect in the next era in the best possible way, so please continue to support me”.

The agency also announced that Uemura will be graduating from the group next spring, saying, “Uemura has been leading the group as a member since the formation of Juice=Juice, and currently as the leader. With this year as a milestone, She asked to move on to a new path after completing the 10th anniversary, and we came to the conclusion that she will graduate after the concert tour next spring. The specific time of graduation will be announced as soon as it is decided”.
