It has been announced that the popular duo “PUFFY” and musician Okuda Tamio will be teaming up for the first time in 13 years to release a new song titled “SweetSweet”.

The new song will be the theme song for the animated movie “Sylvanian Families the Movie: A Gift from Flare” (directed by Konaka Kazuya, to be released on November 23rd) and is based on Epoch’s long-selling toys “Sylvanian Families”.

Okuda is known for composing PUFFY’s debut song “Asia no Innocence,” which was a huge hit in 1996, and will be producing the duo for the first time in about 13 years since “RGW” released back in 2010.

The new song “SweetSweet” was written by Okuda-san and PUFFY, and Okuda was in charge of the music.

PUFFY’s Onuki Ami and Yoshimura Yumi said, “We’re just happy that our beloved Sylvanian Families will be made into a movie, but we’re really honored that we’ll be able to be involved in it. It’s been a while since we’ve worked with Okuda Tamio. We wrote the lyrics while thinking of the song, Sylvanian Families, and Flare-chan. We looking forward to hearing the response from a lot of people, and we are also looking forward to the movie”.
