TRICERATOPS guitar/vocalist Wada Sho received an apology from Okuda Tamio

TRICERATOPS guitarist/vocalist Wada Sho (46) posted on Twitter that Okuda Tamio of the rock band, Unicorn has apologized for appearing at the ARABAKI ROCK FEST.22 in a drunken state.

Wada was critical of musicians who appeared at the music festival live in a drunken state and the music world that allows such a thing.

Wada originally wrote on Twitter, “Yesterday was awesome. It was awesome. But let me say a few words. What about the trend of being drunk on stage? I wonder if the customers who say that they are the best and cute?”. Wada followed with, “The stage is a sacred place. I’m just grateful to Ryota, Asako, and Kaori for dealing with me sincerely. I’m a professional. I say it because everyone doesn’t say it. I used to respect it, but Kazumasa (of the band GRAPEVINE) said the same thing on the backstage, to the person himself (laughs)”.

The Triceratops singer/musician received support for Wada raising the issue in hopes for changes in the future but also a little backlash for airing his angry thoughts on Twitter, especially towards his elder, Okuda Tamio who is ten years older.

Fans of Okuda have commented that it was not OK for Wada to tweet and he could have contacted Okuda directly instead of posting about it in public.  Also, writing that Wada should never ever share the same stage with Okuda again.

Wada would then write, “I didn’t discriminate against who was good and who was bad. I didn’t say that I shouldn’t drink alcohol before the stage. Even if I did drink, I want the performance to be proper, and I want to keep the setup decided in the rehearsal properly. It doesn’t matter what the case is”.

Wada would later write on Twitter, “I was able to communicate directly with Tamio. Tamio apologized. I clearly told him what I was thinking. I will delete the series of tweets. I wanted to see a shy but cool OT senior. I couldn’t help but tweet yesterday because I was angry at the trend of “that feeling”.
