It was announced on the 7th that X JAPAN’s bassist HEATH (real name: Morie Hiroshi) passed away. He was 55 years old.

A shy, quiet but also popular member with good hands when playing the bass and also having a good voice.

After the disbandment of X Japan in 1997, HEATH worked solo and his debut single was “Labyrinth Lovers” which was used as the ending theme for the TV anime series of “Meitantei Conan”. He reunited with X JAPAN in 2008 and briefly left the group due to contract issues, but rejoined in the spring of 2009.

Back on August 20th, he appeared at YOSHIKI’s dinner show and was a special guest on the final day of the 16th performance as he performed “Rusty Nail” with YOSHIKI.

X Japan’s first bassist TAIJI who left the band in 1991 passed away in 2011 at the age of 45. HEATH who succeeded TAIJI as X JAPAN’s bassist in August 1992, is the third member of the band who has passed away (the first being guitarist HIDE who passed away in 1998 at the age of 33).
