THE RAMPAGE from EXILE TRIBE was criticized for including the Nazi salute in their choreography on Music Station SUPER LIVE 2023, Avex Music Creative and LDH Japan apologize

The dance and vocal group “THE RAMPAGE from EXILE TRIBE” belonging to LDH JAPAN performed the song “SOLDIER LOVE” on “Music Station SUPER LIVE 2023” (TV Asahi), which was broadcast live on December 22nd, and during the performance the choreography included the Nazi ceremony salute.

Immediately on social media people posted “this is terrible”, “it’s ethically wrong”, “performances that respect Nazis are no good”.

Avex Music Creative and LDH JAPAN posted an apology on December 25th on Avex’s official website titled, “Apology for the postponement of the release of THE RAMPAGE BEST ALBUM ’16 SOUL’ & ’16 PRAY'”.

The apology is as follows:

We have received your comments and opinions regarding some of the lyrics and choreography of THE RAMPAGE’s song “SOLDIER LOVE”. We sincerely apologize.

We have taken seriously the suggestions and opinions we received from everyone, and have decided to make some changes to the lyrics and choreography.

In line with this, we are very sorry to announce that we have decided to postpone the release of the BEST ALBUM “16SOUL” & “16PRAY” as it will take time to create the corrected work.

We apologize for any inconvenience caused to everyone who has been waiting for the release of the product, and to everyone who has been worried.

We will take your comments and opinions seriously and will continue to strive to create works that will please everyone.

We once again apologize for the worry and inconvenience caused to many people.
