SquareEnix to end mobile game “Engage Kill” a year after its release

In Japan, it’s known that many mobile games don’t last long. And for fans of Square Enix’s mobile game “Engage Kill”  (which began on March 2023) have received news today that the game will be ending service on March 21, 2024.

According to the statement from the “Engage Kill” management team:

Thank you for using “Engage Kill”.

We regret to inform you that the service for “Engage Kill” will end at 12:00 on Thursday, March 21, 2024.

The management team would like to sincerely apologize to our loyal customers for this sudden announcement.

Since we started our service on Wednesday, March 1, 2023, we have worked hard every day to provide better service, but we have come to the conclusion that it will be difficult to provide services that satisfy our customers in the future. Therefore, we have decided to terminate the service.

We would like to express our deepest gratitude to our customers for their continued patronage, and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.

■About refund of “unused in-game currency (paid issued amount)”
・After the service ends, “unused in-game currency (paid issued amount Orgonium)” will be refunded according to Article 20, Section 1 of the Act on Fund Settlement. Refunds will be made based on the following. Details regarding refunds will be announced in-game and on the official website at a later date.
・When making various inquiries, it is necessary to confirm the customer’s data, so until the refund procedure for “unused in-game currency (paid issued Orgonium)” is completed, it is necessary to delete the app or change the model. Please refrain from reinstalling the app due to changes.

Although it will be a short period of time until the service ends on Thursday, March 21, 2024, we hope you will continue to enjoy “Engage Kill.”
