Uesugi The music unit fripSide was formed in 2002 by composer and keyboardist Satoshi Yaginuma with the theme of “bringing the light of digital J-POP to anime songs.” The first season pioneered the trend of theme songs for anime and games with the first vocalist Nao, and the second season made a big leap forward with the collaboration with the TV anime “A Certain Scientific Railgun” with Yoshino Nanjo as the second vocalist. period, and the third period, in which two vocalists, Uesugi Mao and Hisayo Abe, created a new worldview, and for 20 years, they have solidified their presence. “fripSide 20th Anniversary Festival 2023 -All Phases Assembled-” was held at Pia Arena MM on Monday, January 8th (holiday) to commemorate the 20th anniversary of fripSide’s activities.
