Imai Tsubasa announced resumption of activities

Actor Imai Tsubasa (42), who took a break from his activities due to poor health, announced on his official website that he will resume his activities on the 21st.

Imai’s agency announced, “Imai had to suspend my activities due to poor physical condition, but after consulting with his doctor, he has decided to resume activities. We would like to sincerely apologize to everyone who has always supported us and everyone involved for the great concern and inconvenience we have caused, and we would also like to express our sincere gratitude to all the words of encouragement we received during the hiatus. We would like to express our gratitude to Tsubasa Imai. We look forward to your continued support for Tsubasa Imai”.

Imai released the following statement, “I apologize for the inconvenience and concern, but I will resume our activities from today. I was encouraged by the messages I received from everyone and was able to reach this day. I would like to express my gratitude and will work hard to ensure that everyone can continue to enjoy. Thank you for your support. I’m looking forward to seeing you again!”.

Imai was born on October 17, 1981 in Kanagawa Prefecture. In 2001, he starred in the TBS drama “Neverland”. In 2002, he made his CD debut as Tackey & Tsubasa with the album “Hatachi”. In 2005, he held his first solo concert tour “TsubasaImai 1st tour 23to24”. In 2010, he released his first solo single “BACKBORN”. In 2017, he appeared in a commercial drama series for the first time in about 14 years in the Tokai TV/Fuji TV drama “Attic Lover”. He developed Meniere’s disease in 2014, and in September 2018 he took an indefinite hiatus for medical treatment and left Johnny’s Agency. He returned in February 2020.
