ABC TV Announcer Sawada Ayaka holds back tears while talking about Ashihara Hinako on “Ohayo Asahi Desu”

ABC TV announcer Sawada Ayaka (30) appeared on the station’s morning information program “Ohayo Asahi desu” on the 30th. She made a comment while holding back tears in response to the news of the death of manga artist Ashihara Hinako, creator of the manga “Sexy Tanaka-san”.

Ashihara is the author of the manga “Sexy Tanaka-san,” which was made into a drama in October last year. On the 29th, she was found dead in Tochigi Prefecture. On the 26th, she just announced on SNS the troubles surrounding the drama script for “Sexy Tanaka-san” and how she agreed to do the drama back in June, as long as the network followed the condition that they are faithful to the manga. Ashihara said her conditions were ignored.

Announcer Sawada said, “When Nippon Television proposed the film adaptation, they discussed the script production process with the opinion of the original author, Ashihara, through Shogakukan, the original agent, and finally received permission. They broadcasting the script as the final draft”.

Regarding this comment, she explained, “Although they have received permission for the script, what happened until the script was completed has not yet been made public”.
