FRUITS ZIPPER’s 1st single CD “Wata no Ichiban Kawai Tokoro” released in September 2023 ranked 3rd on Billboard JAPAN Top Singles Sales, debuted at 4th place on the Oricon Weekly Singles Ranking, and won the 65th Shining! Japan Record Awards. It has been decided that FRUITS ZIPPER, who won the Newcomer of the Year award, will release their 1st album “NEW KAWAII” on April 10, 2024, the 2nd anniversary of their debut.

At the FRUITS ZIPPER fan club exclusive event held at Toyosu PIT today, they announced the release of their 1st album “NEW KAWAII” on the 2nd anniversary of their debut. The album includes “My cutest part”, which was performed on stage at the Japan Record Awards, and “Naananiani?”, which is the origin of “Naaze naaze?”, which was nominated for the 2023 Buzzword Award. It will include songs such as “Happy Choco”, whose lyrics have become a hot topic, songs that have only been performed live so far, and new songs.

This work is available in 4 formats: a regular edition and 3 first limited editions. Each limited edition comes with a DVD containing carefully selected live digest footage and member interviews from their debut live to the Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium performance, and a DVD containing members’ interviews. A DVD of the first part of the performance at the gymnasium and a DVD of the second part of the Tokyo gymnasium performance are included.

Pre-orders for the album start today, and those who purchase the CD at participating stores will receive a bonus on a first-come, first-served basis. Each store comes with goods from different members, so check the album reservation link for details.

In addition, FRUITS ZIPPER fan club pre-registration for “FRUITS ZIPPER 2nd ANNIVERSARY SPECIAL LIVE 2024” to be held at Nippon Budokan on May 18th and 19th has started from 8:00 pm today.

A new project by Asobi System to disseminate idol culture to the world

A new idol group born from “KAWAII LAB.”

The group’s producer is Kimura Misa, who previously worked as an idol as the leader of Musubizm, and is now the general producer of KAWAII LAB., as well as a model and talent. The group’s name is FRUITS ZIPPER, a combination of FRUIT, which means to bear fruit, and ZIP, which means to give energy.

Based on the concept of “From Harajuku to the world,” we will be disseminating “NEW KAWAII” from “Harajuku,” a place of diverse culture and a fashion town where individuality gathers.
