“Sexy Tanaka-san” drama script writer Aizawa Tomoko, who wrote ep. 1-8 posted on Instagram for the first time since Ashihara Hinako’s death.

Ashihara is the manga creator that the drama is based on and before her death, wrote about how the drama was supposed to be faithful to the original manga but it wasn’t. And so, she ended up taking control of writing the final 9th and 10th episode of the series.

Aizawa Tomoko, the original scriptwriter wrote back in December about being dismayed of the situation and being removed as the original script writer.

And since Ashihara’s death, upset netizens have shown their disdain towards Aizawa and the drama staff, trying to cast blame for Ashihara’s death.

Aizawa took to Instagram to post the following:

I was deeply shocked to hear of the passing of Ashihara Hinako , and I am still deeply saddened. I would like to condolences from the bottom of my heart.
⁡The details of Ashihara’s blog were all new to me, and I was at a loss for words when I read them.
Several days passed as I was confused about what was the truth, what I should believe, and what I should do, and when I received the news of her death, my mind went blank. And we are still in turmoil.

I deeply regret and reflect on what I posted on SNS, saying I should have been more careful. I can’t stop thinking about what if I knew the truth. It’s too sad.
This is all I can say right now as I don’t know the facts, but I sincerely hope that something like this will not happen again in the future.
⁡Please forgive me for posting here again.
I am truly sorry for the delay in expressing my condolences.
We pray for the the soul of Ashihara Hinako .
