It has been announced that the new series “Toppu to Bito” (Gust of Wind and Beat) by manga artist Shiina Karuho, known for works such as “Kimi ni Todoke” will start in the April issue of “Bessatsu Margaret” (Shueisha), which will be released on March 13th.

This is Shiina’s first completely new manga in 18 years since “Kimi ni Todoke” (which she won the 32nd Kodansha Manga Award in 2008), which began serialization in 2006, and is a romantic comedy set in Hokkaido that depicts the farewells and reunions of a girl who has lost many things.

Nike, a high school girl full of mysteries who lives an extraordinary life as a daily life, is reunited with Nemo, a boy who rarely shows up in her class, and begins to search for the self she has forgotten.

Shiina serialized “Kimi ni Todoke” in “Bessatsu Margaret” from 2006 to 2017. After that, “Kimi ni Todoke Bangai-hen ~Unmei no hito~”, which was released as a series from 2018 to 2022, was also well received, and the cumulative circulation of the series exceeded 36 million copies.
