ATLUS tactical RPG “Unicorn Overlord” developed by Vanillaware for the Nintendo Switch takes the #1 spot (Famitsu Game Software Sales Ranking)

And the sales ranking for the week is in and ATLUS tactical RPG “Unicorn Overlord” for the Nintendo Switch took the #1 spot.

“Unicorn Overlord” is published by ATLUS and developed by Vanillaware.  While the sales number of “Unicorn Overlord” is good, ATLUS did release an apology because many physical copies were sold out in Japan.  Also, while the game has received positive reviews, many fans are hoping Vanillaware’s latest game will do well on sales, considering the company’s CEO Kamitani George having to use out-of-pocket funding when the company ran out of development funding.

Vanillaware is known for their games “Dragon’s Crown”, “13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim”, “Grand Knights History”, “Muramasa: The Demon Blade”, “Odin Sphere”, “GrimGrimoire” and more.

The top 10 are as follows:

2. Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth – PS5 – 24,000 units sold
