NewJeans member Hyein suspends activities after foot fracture

NewJeans member Hyein will be taking a break from activities due to a microfracture on her foot.

Her agency ADOR made the announcement on April 10th on Phoning, a community app for their fans. Hyein was injured during practice and fractured the top of her foot.  The pain prompted her to go to the hospital, where she was diagnosed with the microfracture and will require bed rest and she will be focusing on treatment and recovery.

NewJeans is scheduled to release a new single on May 24th. Her agency commented, “We will do our best to help Hyein resume her activities in good health”.

NewJeans is one of the most successful K-Pop groups with the success of their two EP’s “New Jeans” (July 2022) selling 1.5 million and their second EP “Get Up” (July 2023) which sold over 2 million and their single album “OMG” selling over 1.6 million.
