Those who are close to Sayuri have posted on Twitter about her passing. Her husband wrote, “She was passionate about music until the very end, as she battled a chronic illness. There’s not much I can say, but this is an indisputable truth. I hope you will continue to receive the love that Sayuri-san gave birth to”.
Following up with the following Twitter post, “Also, let me say something a little out of character. You proposed to me out of nowhere, and then I became the chief mourner within a year. I was happy to be your husband, even though you were such a troublesome person. Only Sayuri and I can walk this kind of life together.
Thank you for choosing me and believing in me. I will always be your ally, and I will always be your friend. I love you.”.
