Actress and singer Nakayama Miho passed away at her home in Tokyo on the 6th.
She was 54 years old. Nakayama was scheduled to hold a concert in Osaka that night, but according to the Shibuya Police Station of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department, when she did not show up at the meeting place in Tokyo in the morning, a member of her agency visited her home with an acquaintance. She was found collapsed in the bathroom.
Her agency commented, “We are currently checking the details of the cause of death.” The death of Nakayama, who had continued to run at the top of her game as an idol and actress, sent shock waves throughout Japan.
Fanswere in tears around the area of Billboard Osaka in Kita-ku, Osaka, where Nakayama Miho was scheduled to hold her Christmas concert, and the area was also filled with sadness.
Just before the first part opened at 4:30 pm, about 100 fans who had heard the news on TV and online news gathered in front of the live house. A mini poster with a photo of the concert was still attached next to the entrance of the live house. A notice of the cancellation of the concert was posted in front of the entrance, and fans were in tears and people were taking photos.

A woman in her 50s who lives in Osaka Prefecture choked up as she said, “My friend contacted me and said, ‘Miho-chan has died.’ I can’t believe it”.
A female fan who had a ticket for that day also cried uncontrollably, saying, “I came to see her after a long time and to tell her I love her”.
A housewife who happened to be passing by clasped her hands in front of the venue and quietly said, “We’re the same age. I didn’t get a ticket. I’m shocked and saddened. I pray for her soul to rest in peace”.
Fans were even seen hugging each other as if to comfort each other. The entrance to the venue was lonely and illuminated by a white Christmas tree. One fan shed large tears, saying, “I can’t believe that a white tree can look so sad…”.
Refunds for tickets for that day will be processed one by one from the 11th.
