AnimeJapan 2018 hosted a record number of 152,331 visitors

AnimeJapan Organization announced the total number of visitors for AnimeJapan 2018, held in Tokyo Big Sight on March 22 (Thu) to March 25 (Sun).

Celebrating its 5^th anniversary AnimeJapan 2018 hosted a record number of 152,331 visitors (5% increase from last year). Family Anime Festa 2018 recorded a 22% increase since last year, with 14,304 visitors. We would like to sincerely thank all the visitors and everyone involved.

・Press: 692 companies, 1,309 people (Domestic: 589 companies, 152 people, Overseas: 103 companies, 157 people)

Aiming ever higher, we will be holding AnimeJapan 2019 in Tokyo Big Sight on March 21 (Thu) to March 24 (Sun) 2019 with Family Anime Festa held on March 23 (Sat) to 24 (Sun) 2019.

Thanks to everybody involved, the 5th anniversary of AnimeJapan, AnimeJapan 2018 safely reached its end.

The venue that expanded last year accommodated over 1000 exhibition units, the highest in AnimeJapan history. Many special 5th anniversary projects were held as well.

We welcomed more than 152,000 visitors over 4 days, finishing this year’s edition in great success. We would like to sincerely thank all the visitors, exhibitors and everyone involved in the event. We would be very happy if AnimeJapan gave you a chance to meet new anime, or like your favorite titles even more than before.

Finally, in hope that everyone connected to anime will continue to enjoy it in the future we would like to officially announce that AnimeJapan 2019 will be held in Tokyo Big Sight from March 21 (Thu) to March 24 (Sun).

To thank everyone involved in AnimeJapan 2018 we promise to once again do our best to prepare a great event that brings you everything about anime.
