Shirota Yu had no doubt taken the death of his good friend, Miura Haruma, pretty hard. Shirota posted photos with him and Miura and wrote the following message on his Instagram:
Haruma’s straightforwardness, his friendly personality and a strong sense of responsibility for work and his brilliant delicateness of not always feeling confident let to great performances every time. Above all, his deep love for people around him. He worked very hard and his attitude of always putting his strength towards a goal. It was 11 years since we first met and I learned a lot from him, each time I have spent time with him. That really comes to mind in various situations. What I remember the most was Haruma’s smile. When I finished a performance, he would give this carefree smile and he would say “Yu-kun!, Yu-kun!” like a younger brother, which I loved.
Meeting Haruma, being able to get along with him, watching him grow and being on the same path together were huge assets in my life.
Haruma has fought pressure, no matter how painful it was and delivered us a lot of love, dreams and excitement and created the best entertainment each time. What I wanted to see Haruma accomplish were his musical ambitions and dreams. There were a number of promises with Haruma and I can’t end them here. From now on, I would like to continue to live while inheriting Haruma’s intentions and carefully cultivating these “promises” and ‘dreams'”.
Haruma fans. Haruma was really lifted by everyone’s love and support and he was was very grateful. I’m sure that there were many things that couldn’t be accomplished without your support. I think he was saved many times over and over again as you were a part of his performance and a part of his life. Haruma was a part of your life and that’s why it’s really, really hard right now. Even I can’t stop my tears, my heart feels bogged down and I feel like I’m in the dark, even though people around me are being patient. Like everyone who loved him, I feel the same.
Let’s live life facing frontward. Reduce the time you spend alone and talk to others and laugh with them.
I also want to see everyone’s smile. When you start to look forward, with the best smile, you won’t forget Haruma, so please give a lot of warm words up to the sky. And when it’s tough, remember the positive words he left behind, his many works and that smile.
When we meet again someday, I will be proud that “I worked hard for Haruma”.
I believe that our minds are always connected, even if separated.
With love. LOVE & PEACE.
