Red Velvet to release their first Japan mini-album

SMTOWN’s Red Velvet is currently one of Korea’s most well-known all-female pop groups and on March 28th and 29th, the group held their first performance in Japan titled “Red Velvet 1st Concert “Red Room” in JAPAN” which brought out 20,000 people in two days.

And now, the group will be releasing their first Japanese mini-album titled “#Cookie Jar” on July 4th.  The album will feature their popular K-Pop songs but will also include Japanese covers of “Dumb Dumb”, “Russian Roulette” and “Red Flavor”.  The album will be released in a limited edition box set (which includes the CD+Sumapura+Luxury Booklet) and also a normal edition (CD+Sumapura).

A Sumapura is a specialized player that allows sumapura music compatible CD’s to be listened also on smartphones.

The group plans to do a limited event to promote the mini-album as well.  On May 25th, Red Velvet started their first nationwide Japan tour titled [“Red Velvet Hall Tour in JAPAN “Red Room”.
