Typically Johnny’s singel releases are planned and making sure each group gets their own adequate time to promote a single without affecting another group’s single promotions.
But for the first time in Johnny’s music history, Johnny’s will be featuring the CD debut of SixTONES (through Sony Music) and Snow Man (through Avex Entertainment) on the same day in 2020.
The announcement was made at the Johnny’s Jr. August 8th Festival at Tokyo Dome in which 55,000 people saw the announcement of the simultaneous CD debut and people screamed in excitement.
Snow Man’s Iwamoto Hikaru said, “Since we debuted with Johnny’s at the same time, it’s good to be able to do this at the same time”.
SIXTones Kyomoto Taiga said, “Because we are both friends and rivals, we want to make each otehr grow and leave each other in good shape”.
SixTONES will hold a national tour at 14 halls and five arenas in 2019 and 2020, while Snow Man will be holding an Asia tour starting next spring.
In addition, SixTONES launched their official Instagram and Snow Man started their official Weibo.
