Johnny’s Jr. creates an Official YouTube Channel

Johnny’s Jr. has the reputation of being of the most strict entertainment companies in Japan.

To this day, image usage is so strict that magazines and online stores have to use images a generic image with words or grayed out image of a Johnny’s Jr. related artist/group.  And official music videos of their groups on YouTube or online video sites have been close to non-existent, forcing people to upload unofficial videos on YouTube or elsewhere.

While a major step for the company to utilize social media to communicate with fans, it’s important to note that the groups featured on the YouTube channel will be limited.

Groups that will be featured on the Johnny’s Jr. YouTube Channel are: Snow Man, SixTONES, Travis Japan, HiHi Jets and Tokyo Bishonen.

And daily videos will be featured on the YouTube channel starting on March 21st.

This is no doubt a major step for Johnny’s Jr., but also to control content, knowing that people have been watching Johnny’s Jr. related videos through non-official means, now they can build communication but also building new fans for their newer groups and projects.
