Maeda Atsuko asks media to stop taking photos when she’s out with her child

Maeda Atsuko took to Instagram to request for media to stop with the excessive photo coverage of her, especially when she’s with her child.

Maeda writes, “As I was walking towards the supermarket while holding my child this morning, a reported called out to me. I was suddenly surprised and even when I was on the escalator, I refused and the person was holding a camera at the end of the escalator. I was concerned because it was dangerous because I was with my child. Of course, I want you to stop taking photos when I’m with my child. I go to supermarkets and convenience stores and live life everyday. I don’t want you to make up funny stories, that’s how I feel. There is no way you will write about how I’m feeling from the heart. So, today, I’m sad because I felt there was a sense of crisis and could do nothing but give an angry look, but I thought about how I should write about it now. I hope everyone can spend their time safe and calm everyday. Hayashida Misaki expressed a wonderful picture of my feelings. Thank you.”.

The following comments are from people on SNS:

How much does a mother have to go to protect and raise her child.  They should show her compassion.

If you are an entertainment reporter, you have to keep doing it.  It’s quite sad.

I understand the reporter has a job to do but can they choose a different time and place?

They should stop coverage when she’s out with her child.

No one has the right to snoop or peek into the private lives of others.  They think that entertainers have no rights to privacy.

This is terrible.  The escalator is dangerous.  Media is the lowest.
