Perfume to release new single "Mugen Mirai" on March 14th

On March 14th, Perfume will be releasing their new single “Mugen Mirai” (Infinite Future), the theme song to the upcoming film “Chihayafuru: Musubi”.

The single’s date was announced along with an image for the single.

Also, included on the regular edition and the DVD version of the single is “FUSION – NTT DoCoMo “FUTURE-EXPERIMENT VOL.01 docomo×Perfume Kyori o Nakuse” Tie Up Song. While the “Chihayafuru: Musubi” CD+DVD version will feature “Mugen Mirai” plus the song “FLASH”, which was the theme song to the “Chihayafuru” 2016 film and was released only as a digital single in the past.

As for “Chihayafuru: Musubi”, the film is based on the manga series written and illustrated by Suetsugu Yuki and has received an anime adaptation and two live action film adaptations: “Chihayafuru: Kami no Ku” and “Chihayafuru: Shimo no Ku” (both released back in 2016).

“Chihayafuru: Musubi” is the final film in the trilogy.

Many comments on SNS regarding Perfume’s upcoming single has generated a lot of interest since the release of the movie trailer in December.
