Koda Kumi performs national anthem at opening of Sagan Tosu vs. Vissel Kobe soccer match

Koda Kumi performed at the opening of the 2018 Meiji Yasuda Life J-League opening game for the Sagan Tosu vs. Vissel Kobe soccer match at Sagan Tosu’s home stadium (Saga · Best Amenity Stadium) on February 23rd.

Koda has been watching Sagan Tosu games since 2016 and has been a supporter of the team.  Koda contributed her song “Bring it On!” for the team and was appointed as the “Sagan Tosu Goddess of Victory”.

Koda said, “I’m actually nervous to perform the national anthem but I am nervous all the time.  This year, I will be singing at the opening game for the 25th anniversary of the J League.  It’s an honor.”.
