NGT48 Captain Kitahara Rie attends her last AKB handshake meeting

Kitahara Rie (26) been one of the well-known members from AKB48.  Having joined the group back in 2007 and becoming a member of AKB48 when she was still in the fifth grade, and while she was a member of AKB48, she was also a concurrent member of SKE48 in 2012-2013.     Kitahara would become team captain of NGT48 in 2015 and Team NIII in 2016, she is a member that has given her all.

Kitahara announced that she will be graduating in April 2018 and she tweeted on March 25th that she attended her last AKB handshake meeting.

Kitahara wrote, “I finished my last AKB handshake meeting.  I thought about the relationship between idol and fans and that relationship will be hard to replace.  There are a lot of bonds and a lot of memories.  I thank everyone who came to see me in the last ten years!!!”.

Kitahara’s final performance is on April 14th at Toki Messe in Niigata and her final theater performance at NGT theater is on April 18th.

Kitahara will be pursuing her career as an actress.
