Oda Kazumasa’s “Ai ni Iku” to be used as the theme song for Fuji TV’s “Mezamashi TV”, new single to be released

Beginning on April 2nd, the Oda Kazumasa’s song “Ai ni Iku” (Going to meet) will be used as the theme song for Fuji TV’s “Mezamashi TV”.

This is the second Oda Kazumasa song to be used by the show in ten years, the last was Oda’s song “Kyo mo Dokokade” back in 2008.

Oda said, “I wrote a song for “Mezamashi” again.  It has been ten years since then.  At the beginning, everyone was waiting for it, so I felt a little pressure, but writing this song was delightful.  I thought about the TV program team who are connected with their viewers nationwide and my feelings of reaching out to people while on go on a nationwide tour, so “Going to meet” became the title of the song.  Everyone who watches “Mezamashi will be happy and refreshed in the morning”.

A new single will be released on May 2nd for Oda Kazumasa featuring four songs, each song is the title for the single: “Kono Michi o” (This Road), “Ai ni iku” (Going to meet), “Sakamichi o nobotte” (Going up a slope) and “Chiisana fukei” (small landscape).

In addition, to “Ai ni iku”, “Kono Michi o” is the theme song for TBS’s “Black Pean” (which begins on April 22nd) and “Sakamichi no nobote” is used in the film “Sakamichi no Apollon” (Kids on the Slope) and “Chiisana fukei” is used in the TV Asahi drama “Iryu Sosa”.

In addition, for the chorus, JUJU participated in “Kono michi o” and “Ai ni iku”, Matsu Takako partcipated in “Kono michi o”, “Ai ni iku”, “Chiisana fukei” and Mitsuda Kenichi participated in “Ai ni iku” and “Sakamichi o nobotte”.

Oda Kazumasa will go on a national tour on May 4th titled “Meiji Yasuda Life presents KAZUMASA ODA TOUR 2018” which will feature Oda performing at 48 venues.
