X JAPAN guitarist SUGIZO’s Visa problem is now resolved, he will be able to perform with X JAPAN on April 14th at Coachella

There was a possibility that X JAPAN guitarist SUGIZO would not be performing at the Coachella Music and Arts Festival due to a delay in Visa processing.

Back on April 6th, SUGIZO said with an interview with ORICON that the Visa application process was delayed and it would be highly likely that he may not be able to perform for the first day of the festival (on April 14th).  YOSHIKI said that they may use a substitute guitarist (media reports have mentioned Miya of MUCC) if SUGIZO’s Visa wasn’t resolved.

It was revealed today that SUGIZO’s Visa problems have now been resolved and that he has been cleared to travel to California to perform at Coachella.

The band will be headlining the Mojave Stage on Saturday, April 14th and Saturday, April 21st at 11:10pm. In addition to the holograms of deceased members HIDE and TAIJI, there will be a collection of guests gracing the stage alongside X JAPAN. Bandleader and illustrious drummer/pianist, YOSHIKI, will also be returning to the stage after his emergency cervical artificial disc replacement surgery less than one year ago, making the performance one you cannot miss. YOSHIKI asserts: “I’ll make rock mainstream again. After being nearly paralyzed and coming back, nothing is impossible!”

As the countdown to Coachella continues, legendary platinum-certified rockers and visual-kei pioneers X JAPAN are excited to announce that they will be unveiling a very special, deeply personal moment as a gift to fans.
