Nogizaka46’s Shiraishi Mai’s second solo photobook “Passport” was released on February 7, 2017 and it was revealed on an April 12th that an additional 5,000 copies were reprinted, it’s 18th reprinting (which is unprecedented in Japan) as the photobook has now surpassed 290,000 copies in circulation.
The photobook has been extremely popular that a reprint has been done nearly every month and for the number of reprints and number of copies circulated, in Japan is unprecedented.
A Kodansha sales representative said, “A photobook that has sold for this long is unexpected and it is unpredictable to know how many more copies will be sold”.
