A :15 and :30 PR teaser for Yoshida Takashi’s “Yareta ka mo Iinkai” (They Almost Got Laid Committee) has been posted.

The TBS/MBS live-action drama “Yareta kamo Iinkai” will air on MBS on April 22, 2018 (Sunday) at 12:50 a.m. and on TBS on April 24, 2018 (Tuesday) at 1:28 a.m.

The drama will be distributed via the web, dTV and Netflix at midnight on the following Wednesday.

The original story revolves around a committee made up of martial artist Noujima Akira, musician Paradiso and executive Tsuki Michiko. Clients will come to tell them stories about their situations of almost getting laid. Discussing where they think they may have had the opportunity to have had sex but did not do it. The judges must decide whether the client could have had sex.

Early in January, AbemaTV debuted a live-action series adaptation starring Akiyama Ryuuji, but this live-action drama version will be a bit different than the original manga series, as it will be a romantic drama and also a slight change was made to the names of each character.

So, the new names have Sato Jin as Noshima Jo, Yamada Takayuki will be playing the role of Oasis and Shiraishi Mai will play the role of Tsuki Ayako.

Actor Yamada Takayuki commented on the two different different series, “Yareta kamo Iinkai” was previously broadcasted by AbemaTV, but I think both have their own different merits, so you can enjoy both ours and Akiyama’s version”.

Yoshida wrote, “The manga was originally drawn in a corner of a single room. It spread all over the Internet thanks to many people. And now it has been decided to be dramatized on television. This is a cool cast. I can’t believe it. I felt like I jumped out into space from the corner of the room.”

Yoshida continued, “This time it will be a drama with its own original view, the name of the characters are slightly different from the manga. Please enjoy it as a parallel world which is different from the manga”.

The drama will be directed by Yamaguchi Masatoshi known for directing dramas such as “Gift” (1997), “Tabloid” (1998), “Kabachitare!” (2001), “Long Love Letter” ~Hyōryū kyōshitsu~ (2002), “Beginner” (2003) and the “Yamikin Ushijima-kun” (Ushijima the Loan Shark) film series.
