Fukuyama Masaharu to have a short role in Hosoda Mamoru’s animated film “Mirai no Mirai” (Mirai of the Future)

Fukuyama Masaharu has been announced to have a short role in Hosoda Mamoru’s animated film “Mirai no Mirai” (Mirai of the Future), which will be released on July 20th.

Hosoda is known for directing animated hit films “The Girl Who Leapt Through Time”, “Summer Wars”, “Wolf Children” and “The Boy and the Beast”.

“Mirai no Mirai” is about a young, spoiled 4-year-old boy named Kun, who is visited by his sister Mirai (now a young woman), who came from the future to visit him.  And helping him cope with living with a younger sibling.

Fukuyama will be playing a short role of a young man who is often riding a horse or a motorcycle. This would be the first time Fukuyama to appear in a film as a voice actor.

Fukuyama said, “While singing is my primary job, I am inexperienced as a voice actor. So, I was slowly at ease in the workplace and was in awe by seeing the process of how everything works.”
