GLAY’s 1998 classic album “Pure Soul” to receive a special “Pure Soul Anthology release

GLAY’s “Pure Soul” was the band’s fourth major label album release (fifth overall) released back on July 29, 1988 and featured a faster rock sound with hits such as “Yuuwaku”, “Soul Love”, “I’m in Love” and “Pure Soul”.

The album peaked at #1 selling 2.4 million and eventually certified “Triple million” by the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ).

And now on July 31, 2018, 20-years later, the album will be re-released as “Pure Soul Anthology” with a new remix and remaster from the original sound source.  In addition, the demo sound source and the original recorded music will be featured on the anthology.

For disc 3, “‘pure soul in STADIUM” SUMMER OF ’98 at Hankyu Nishinomiya Stadium (August 30, 1998)” will be featured.

In addition, a booklet featuring photographs, interviews and newspaper articles from the time of the “Pure Soul” release will be included.

“Pure Soul” will be revived as an anthology for the first time in 20 years!
