Tohoshinki’s Changmin performs X Japan’s “Forever Love” at Yokohama-Nissan Stadium

Tohoshinki’s Yunho (32) and Changmin (30) performed in front of 220,000 people at Yokohama-Nissan for three consecutive days.

As the group performed for 3 1/2 hours each day with 24 songs performed, even one day where 73,000 fans cheered despite the rain, Changmin surprised the audience when he came out to sing X Japan’s superhit ballad “Forever Love”.

While it’s a difficult song to perform, Changmin received an overwhelming applause from fans when he performed the song.

When YOSHIKI of X JAPAN was told in Los Angeles about Changmin’s performance, YOSHIKI said “Thank you for covering ‘Forever Love’.  I hope we can co-perform somewhere in the near future, I have plan proposal for us to collaborate”.

Tohoshinki witnessed X JAPAN perform “Forever Love” and “Rusty Nail” at a-nation 11-years ago.  Tohoshinki were impressed when they saw the audience respond to YOSHIKI’s “We are X” which resulted in Tohoshinki creating the chant “We are T”.

For the FUJI TV series “Love Music” broadcasted back in January, Changmin said “Forever Love” is a song he often listens to recently.
