The late night anime series “Shinya! Tensai Bakabon” (Midnight! Genius Bakabon) debuted on TV Tokyo and for the very first time, X JAPAN’s YOSHIKI appeared as an anime character (voiced by Miki Shin-ichiro).
“Shinya! Tensai Bakabon” is an anime adaptation of Akatsuka Fujio’s manga series which first appeared in “Shukan Shonen Magazine” (Weekly Shonen Magazine) back in April 1967 and completed in “Gekkan Shonen Magazine” (Monthly Shonen Magazine) in December 1978.
On October 17, 2007, Kodansha and Shogakukan collaborated to celebrate the 40th anniversary of “Tensai Bakabon THE BEST”.
