Morita Doji, best known for her 1976 song “Bokutachi no Shippai” (Our failure) which was used for the popular 1993 drama “Kou Kou Kyoushi” (and used again for the 2003 drama “Kou Kou Kyoushi 2003”) passed away back on April 24th.
Best known for keeping with the underground scene and playing at live houses and small theaters and not interested in going commercial, retired back in 1983.
Many were not aware that Morita had passed away until the JASRAC (Japan Society for Rights of Authors, Composers and Publishers) newsletter was released.
The cause of death is unknown.
