Celebrities in Japan social media posts in regards to this morning’s Osaka earthquake

[UPDATE] A magnitude 6.1 earthquake has struck the Osaka region in western Japan. Three people are confirmed dead. More than 230 others are reportedly injured. The Shinkansen line that runs from Tokyo to Osaka has resumed operation after service was partially suspended. But local trains are still being affected stranding thousands of passengers. The Meteorological Agency is warning to watch out for another big quake in the next few days.  A few entertainers have posted on how the earthquake has affected them or their families.

AAA vocalist Atae Shinjiro wrote, “Is everyone in Kansai OK after the earthquake?  There was an earthquake near my parents house.  My family is safe although the house may have cracks or may fall.  Thank you for worrying everyone.  Are you alright?  I’m so worried.”

NMB48’s Yoshida Akari wrote, “Is everyone in Osaka that felt the earthquake OK?  I’m safe because I’m currently working in Tokyo. I was able to contact my family and they are safe.  Thank you for worrying about me.  Please continue to be careful because of the aftershocks.  I hope everyone is safe”.

NMB48’s Shiroma Miru wrote, “There was an earthquake, I am very worried…”

NMB48’s Kawakami Rena tweeted, “I was scared.  Are you alright?  I was very scared!”.

Actress Miaki Riho (Ripopo) tweeted, “I received a call from my parents.  There was a big earthquake that made many things fall and they asked if I was OK in Tokyo?  When I saw the news, the intensity of the earthquake in Osaka was not too strong, was it?  I pray that there are no more earthquakes or aftershocks”.

PASSPO’s Tamai Anna wrote, “I am really worried about the situation after reading on Twitter that there may be aftershocks.  Please protect yourself, please spread this information!”

Kikuchi Ami tweeted, “Is everyone in Osaka OK after the earthquake?  I also took the shinkansen from Shin-Osaka about an hour before the earthquake occurred and it is down for two hours now.  There is no signs of moving.  What shall I do?  Please watch out for the aftershocks”.

Yamamoto Sayaka tweeted, “Is everyone in Osaka and Kansai alright?  I was able to get in touch with my family and they are safe, but the house is messed up.  I am currently in Tokyo, so I am alright.  Please be careful of aftershocks or secondary disasters”.

Matsui Rena posted on her blog, “I am in Osaka and felt the the earthquake.  I was surprised because I don’t have much experience with a big earthquake but I was surprised because there was nothing fell down in the hotel room.  Everyone in Osaka and people in the affected areas, hopefully no one is injured.  The railways have stopped, the epicenter in Takatsuki is still experiencing aftershocks and I am worried.  I hope no big earthquakes will happen again.  I am OK in Osaka as I went along with my manager”.
