SPEED’s past albums and singles, including members solo albums and singles, to finally be offered on digital distribution sites

When Amuro Namie and MAX (members of Amuro Namie’s “Super Monkeys” group) made their debut, it was the beginning of the Okinawa Actors School explosion.

With the popularity of Amuro and MAX who were cranking out hit after hit, a new female group consisting of four young teenagers Imai Eriko, Shimabukuro Hiroko, Uehara Takako and Aragaki Hitoe from the Okinawa Actors School made their debut on August 5, 1996 with the single “Body & Soul”.

While Amuro and MAX were signed with Avex, SPEED was signed by Toys Factory (their later music was with Avex sub-label, Sonic Groove).

But getting their songs distributed digitally was quite a task until both Toys Factory and Avex (Sonic Groove) decided to cooperate and deliver all SPEED singles and albums in anticipation of their August 5th debut.

SPEED is currently inactive, but their music is still frequently featured on TV programs and music shows, as they were a big influence back in the ’90s.

In addition to SPEED’s albums and singles being released digitally, also the singles from each of the member’s solo albums/singles will be released plus special SPEED songs featured on compilation albums.
