Oda Yuji to star in his first 9:00 p.m. – Monday drama in ten years! Oda to star in the Japanese version of the popular American legal-comedy drama, “SUITS”

Oda Yuji was one of Japan’s most popular actors.  From the very popular “Tokyo Love Story” (1991), the police drama/film series “Odoru Daisousasen” (also known as “Bayside Shakedown”) from 1997-2010, “Last Christmas” (2004) and “Taiyou to Umi no Kyoshitsu” (2008).  And that is just a few of the dramas and films in his oeuvre.

But the 9:00 p.m. Monday night drama is considered one of the best time slots and the last time Oda did a Monday 9:00 p.m. drama was “Taiyou to Umi no Kyoshitsu” in July 2008.

But now Oda along with actor Nakajima Yuto, will star in “SUITS”, a Japanese version of the popular American legal comedy drama (which aired on the USA Network) of the same name.

Oda Yuji will play a talented lawyer who must hire a new associate straight out of law school.  His friend (portrayed by Nakajima) has a photographic memory and is a quick thinker.  Problem is, he associates with very bad people.

The drama is set to air on October 2018 every Monday night from 9:00 to 9:54 p.m. on Fuji TV.
